Dentures

Unfortunately, not everyone is able to maintain their full set of teeth throughout their entire lives. However, you do not have to miss out on the joys of life just because you are missing your natural teeth. If you are in the Mesa area, make an appointment with Sunshine Dental Care to come in and talk about dentures. We will have you eating the foods you love and smiling with confidence once again. We know how important these things are to our patients, and we take care to ensure that dentures fit properly and are as comfortable as possible.

What are dentures?

Dentures are simply a replacement for missing teeth. A full denture replaces all the natural teeth in either the lower or upper jaw, while a partial denture fills in the space left by missing teeth but leaves the remaining natural teeth in place.

What are the benefits of wearing dentures?

If you are missing teeth, you know that every lost tooth makes your life that much more difficult. Dentures will give you a full mouth of healthy, functional teeth, making it easier for you to enjoy food and speak clearly. Most of our Mesa clients find that dentures also help improve their confidence and self-esteem.

If you are only missing a few teeth, partial dentures have an additional benefit of helping to keep your remaining natural teeth in good shape. Teeth tend to move into gaps left by missing teeth, so wearing partial dentures keeps your natural teeth where they should be.

Sunshine Dental Care is your Mesa source for quality dentures

If you have been considering how you could benefit from dentures, we urge you to make an appointment with us here at Sunshine Dental Care. With our years of experience in fitting dentures for our patients, you will be amazed by how much of a difference a good pair of dentures will make. Give us a call today!

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a dental restoration, a small titanium screw that serves as the replacement for the root portion of a missing natural tooth. Dental implants can be placed in either the upper or lower jaws. Due to the biocompatible properties of titanium, a dental implant fuses with the bone and becomes a good anchor for the replacement tooth. Dental implants can be used in solutions for replacing single or multiple missing teeth.

Components of a Dental Implant: A complete dental implant consists of 1) The Titanium implant which is placed atraumatically in the Jaw bone. 2) An abutment which is connected to the implant and 3) A porcelain crown which is cemented on top of the abutment.

Why dental implants?

There are a number of reasons why you should consider a dental implant: Without the root structure of a natural tooth present, the jawbone can shrink. This shrinkage will make your face look older than it is. There are no loose parts to worry about losing. The dental implant is stable and comfortable. No adjustment is needed after placement. Normally, it will serve its owner for life.

How much do dental implants cost?

The fee for tooth replacement with dental implants depends on several factors, including the number of teeth being replaced and the number of dental implants required to support your replacement teeth. Some additional procedures may be required prior to the placement of your dental implants to ensure the long-term health of your dental implants. To obtain a specific fee estimate, it is necessary to have a doctor examine your mouth. After a thorough diagnostic examination, your dentist will recommend the treatment that is best for you.
